History

In 1995, a group of concerned and committed Christians came together and, with prayerful consideration, were led to begin a new, fundamental, Bible believing body. Country Road Bible Church was organized in July, 1995. Reverend Frank Sharp was called to pastor this new congregation. There were 53 charter church members.

The church began meeting at the Upper Pittsgrove School in Monroeville and was soon a regional church with congregational members from Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem counties. In 1996, Donald and Louise Garrison donated to the church 11 acres of property on Husted Station Road in Pittsgrove Township where our current facilities are located. A building committee was formed and on Palm Sunday, April 16, 2000, ground was broken for the church. On Christmas Eve of that same year the first worship service was conducted in celebration of our Savior’s birth.

In August of 2008, Pastor Andy Grunder was called to be the second pastor of Country Road and having accepted the call, started his ministry in November of 2008.

As we enter into our 21st year of ministry to Pittsgrove Township and the surrounding areas we can look back and see the mighty hand of God at work throughout everything that has been accomplished. We continue to look to Him for guidance and direction and we give Him continual thanks for all that He has done and that He continues to do. His blessings on this church are apparent and abundant and to God be the Glory!
